Our editorial focus is historical inquiry that readers can check. The following standards guide the articles presented in the current editorial collection.
Sources and attribution
Identify the creator and context of a record. Link to institutional catalogs, original documents or established research where available. Attribute findings to the body that made them. A quotation does not automatically establish that the quoted claim is true.
Uncertainty and competing accounts
Distinguish fact, interpretation and allegation. Explain relevant disagreements without giving unsupported claims the same evidentiary status as documented findings. Avoid false precision in dates, counts and translations.
People and sensitive material
Treat testimony and records about harm with respect. Publish only personal details necessary to the discussion. This site does not collect witness statements or operate an investigative process.
Corrections and revisions
When a material error is identified, the affected editorial article should be corrected with a dated note explaining the change. New interpretations should be distinguished from corrections of fact. We do not claim that every external source has been independently verified.
Scope
The Articles page curates the current history and research collection. Other material accessible at older URLs is outside that collection and should not be taken as a statement of its editorial remit. We do not publish party endorsements, unsupported accusations, legal advice or claims to government authority.
